Job summary

Wood is seeking expressions of interest for Principal Civil & Structural Designer roles in Stockton. Positions are 6–12 month fixed term contracts, with the role based onsite 4 days per week.

You will develop Civil & Structural models and drawings using E3D, Tekla, AutoCAD and CADS RC, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and safety standards. Responsibilities include model reviews, drawing checks, and guiding junior designers while maintaining CDM compliance

Qualifications

Exposure to civil/structural design workflows in engineering projects.
Safety and CDM awareness for site and office environments.

Responsibilities

Prepare Civil & Structural models in E3D & TEKLA, including steel frameworks, foundations, culverts, retaining walls.
Prepare civil general arrangement drawings and details using AutoCAD.
Prepare structural general arrangement drawings and details using AutoCAD.
Prepare reinforced concrete layouts, details and bar bending schedules using AutoCAD & CADS RC.
Prepare underground layouts, drainage and utilities using AutoCAD.
Issue drawings in line with project schedule.
Support junior designers and participate in model reviews.

Education

HNC in Civil Engineering

Experience in Pharmaceutical / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical or related industries
