Job summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to support the expansion of its energy team and shape sustainable infrastructure across the UK and Ireland. The role covers Renewables, Transmission & Distribution and other energy sectors with a flexible hybrid working model and offices nationwide.

You will lead civil infrastructure design, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and deliver projects from feasibility through construction supervision for onshore wind,

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects for the Energy Transition is highly desirable.
• Experience with UK Transmission & Distribution projects (11kV–400kV) is highly desirable.
• High degree of technical competency in civil or structural design.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead verifier on reports including feasibility studies and design reports.
• Liaise with clients, manage project work and ensure delivery within timescales and budgets.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams and lead civil infrastructure design.
• Prepare and review calculations, drawings, and specifications to UK standards.
