Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer for the Longbridge, Birmingham region. You will lead the design and delivery of infrastructure projects, mentor engineers, and build strong client relationships to drive growth in the Midlands.

The role requires extensive civil infrastructure experience in residential development, expertise in highways and drainage design, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and WinDes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil infrastructure design, especially residential development.
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of highways and drainage design, with relevant Section Agreements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WinDes (or equivalents).
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Chartered status (or working towards) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design and delivery of infrastructure projects across residential and commercial developments.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, encouraging technical development and best practice.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Prepare, review and approve technical designs, reports, drawings and calculations.
• Ensure projects comply with Section 278, 38, 104 and 185 agreements.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and resources for successful delivery.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the Birmingham office.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to strengthen the Civil Engineering team.
