Job summary

Entrust Resource Solutions seeks a Principal Analytical Chemist for a key client in the UK to perform complex method development and validation using LC-MS / HPLC on a variety of synthesised chemicals and molecules.

This hands-on role requires leading a small team of analytical chemists, troubleshooting instruments, and collaborating with process chemists to ensure GMP-compliant analyses across multiple projects in a busy API/synthesis environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have hands-on experience with complex GMP method development and validation using chromatography in an API/synthesis environment.
• Experience leading analytical projects and mentoring others is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Analytical Chemists and contribute to ongoing project work as required.
• Instrument and method troubleshooting to enable timely analyses.
• Collaborate with Synthetic/Process Chemists to understand synthesised chemicals for successful analyses.
• Drive analytical projects, define scope and milestones in line with GMP requirements.
• Perform analyses using a range of chromatography, spectroscopy and related techniques (including NMR, ICP).
• Prepare detailed GMP documentation and reports and implement method improvements.
• Train and mentor team members, guiding problem solving and complex analyses.
