Job summary

PureKat Consultancy is recruiting for an experienced Analytical Development Chemist to join the R&D team for our client based in Haverhill.

The role focuses on developing, optimising and pre-validating analytical methods for APIs and materials, using HPLC, UHPLC and GC, with LC-MS and GC-MS support as needed. You will document findings and collaborate across QA, Manufacturing and R&D to ensure cGMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/master’s/PhD in Chemistry or related field or extensive industrial experience.
• Proven experience in analytical method development in regulated environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPLC/UHPLC/GC and LC-MS tooling.
• Familiarity with cGMP and ICH guidelines for API release testing.
• Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and pre-validate analytical methods for APIs, polymers and formulations.
• Support method transfers and troubleshooting activities.
• Investigate analytical issues and generate high-quality technical documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing to ensure method integration and compliance.
