Job summary

Zapp is seeking a senior software engineer to own the full lifecycle of the apps used by customers on iOS, Android, and web. You’ll help shape the product by integrating AI features and improving the end-to-end experience across frontend and backend.

Based in London, this full-time role is hybrid with on-site presence. You’ll work with a talented team, focus on performance, reliability, and shipping value to customers daily.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building production software.
• Full-stack capability across backend, web, and infrastructure.
• Strong fundamentals in TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL; familiarity with NestJS and React.
• Cloud/DevOps mindset with CI/CD, observability and modern tooling.
• Ability to use AI daily and extract patterns for the team.

Responsibilities

• Build a world-class customer experience across the stack (backend, web, infrastructure, and mobile when needed).
• Introduce AI into daily workflows and share patterns to speed delivery.
• Define how AI contributes to product value and prototype major bets.
• Own end-to-end delivery from design to production release.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure reliable service.
• Maintain fast, trusted production systems with low latency and solid releases.
• Set architectural direction and elevate the engineering team.
