Job summary

Zapp is hiring for a senior software engineer to own the end-to-end development of our apps across iOS, Android, and web. You will work in a fast-moving, AI-driven environment where decision-making focuses on customer impact and product value.

The role combines backend, web, and infrastructure work with on-site collaboration in London. You’ll ship features quickly, share AI-driven patterns, and contribute to scalable, reliable systems that delight customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software.
• Full-stack across backend, web, and infrastructure.
• Strong fundamentals in TypeScript, GraphQL, SQL.
• Familiar with NestJS (or similar Node.js) and React.
• Cloud/DevOps mindset with CI/CD, observability, and modern infra tooling.
• Daily use of AI in development and pattern sharing.
• Product-minded with business value focus.
• Production-grade API design, reliability, and security.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build world-class customer experiences across backend, web, and mobile as features cross stacks.
• Incorporate AI into development, share patterns, and improve velocity.
• Prototype AI-powered features and bring them to production.
• Own delivery end-to-end from design to production release.
• Participate in on-call rotations and ensure service reliability.
• Maintain fast, trusted production systems and monitor latency.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and code quality.
