Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd in Lymington is recruiting a full-time teaching assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with neurodiverse needs, including autism, from January 2026 to July 2027. You will deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group interventions to foster academic and social development.

Work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to implement tailored support strategies, helping children gain confidence, resilience and independence across phonics, reading, writing and maths while promoting positive

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting.
• Ability to deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Empathetic, patient approach to meet individual needs.
• Strong collaboration with teachers and the SENDCo.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a child with Autism.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and social development.
• Work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to implement individual support strategies.

£92-£100 per day
Hours: 08:15am - 3:15pm

• Support a child with nuero diverse needs in Year 1
• Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Demonstrate empathy, patience and a strong understanding of SEND to meet individual needs
• Promote independence, confidence and positive learning behaviours
• Help children achieve their academic, social and emotional targets and celebrate their progress

The Role
