Job summary

Aspire People are seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS to KS2 in Leicester and surrounding areas. The role covers mainstream and SEN settings with flexible short-term and long-term placements.

You will work 8:30am-3:30pm in various schools, delivering targeted support, assisting lesson delivery and helping pupils access learning with a patient, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (school-based experience preferred).
• SEN experience desirable for SEN Teaching Assistant roles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, flexible and proactive approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access learning
• Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom support
• Providing targeted SEN support where required (SEN roles)
• Helping implement individual education and behaviour plans
• Supporting pupil engagement, independence and progress
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
