Job summary

Aspire People Limited are recruiting for a SEN Nursery Teaching Assistant in Leicester to join their early years team. You will support young children with additional needs, helping them develop communication, confidence and early learning skills.

The ideal candidate has experience in SEN settings, is patient and nurturing, and can work Monday to Friday during term time. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference in a specialist setting.

Qualifications

• Has prior experience working with young children with SEN.
• Experience in nursery, early years or specialist SEN setting is preferred.
• Patient, caring and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Support young children on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Help children develop communication and social skills.
• Support early learning through play-based activities.
• Encourage independence and personal development.
• Support children's emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Assist children with sensory needs and individual routines.
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Support transitions and changes in routine.
• Build positive relationships with children.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionals.
• Follow individual support and learning plans.
