Job summary

The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary is seeking a flexible classroom support assistant to work across all age groups and abilities. The role runs 32.5 hours per week, term time only, with 2 posts available. You will support teachers in 1:1 settings, lead small groups and provide general classroom support.

You will work with children with diverse needs, from SEN to behavioural and emotional needs, promoting inclusion and safeguarding in our supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN and behavioural or emotional needs.
• Able to work across age groups and abilities.
• Experience supporting learning through planning, differentiation and interventions.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in 1:1 and small group settings.
• Provide general classroom support and help with lesson preparation.
• Assist with planning, differentiation and intervention strategies.
• Promote pupil wellbeing and establish positive relationships.
• Support learning activities and monitor progress.
