Job summary

Emersons Green Primary School is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to support both whole classes and individual children. The role requires 25 hours per week, term time only, with an actual salary based on weeks worked (£16,103.70–£16,895.26 per annum).

The start date is 04/01/2027 and the contract ends 31/08/2027, linked to external EHCP funding. Applicants should have NVQ2/Level 2 qualification, experience with pupils with Special Needs, and IT competence.

Qualifications

• NVQ2/Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience and/or qualifications in working with pupils with Special Needs; willing to undertake CPD.

Responsibilities

• Support whole classes and individual pupils under supervision.
• Assist with learning activities and behavior management as directed.
• Prepare learning resources and maintain a safe, welcoming classroom environment.
