Job summary

Saint Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Grantham is seeking a flexible Teaching Assistant to support pupils across all age groups and abilities. The role involves 1:1 work, small group sessions and assisting with planning and differentiation for intervention strategies.

Experience with SEN and extra needs is essential; you may also handle intimate care. The post is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, 8:30–3:30 with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant experience with SEN is essential.
• Able to support planning, differentiation and intervention strategies.
• Willingness to work across age groups and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Be caring and supportive, helping students achieve their learning goals.
• Work 1:1, lead small groups and assist with lesson preparation.
• Promote inclusion and monitor student well-being and progress.
• Establish positive relationships and encourage questions and ideas.
• Assist with learning activities and adapt support as needed.
• This role may involve some intimate care handling.
