Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting passionate Teaching Assistants to join welcoming primary schools across Hyde, Denton and Droylsden. You will support class teachers, work with pupils individually or in small groups, and help create a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

The ideal candidate holds Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualifications, has UK experience in schools, and is DBS-checked or willing to obtain one. Competitive pay and ongoing CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teaching Assistant with Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
• Recent experience in a UK primary school or education setting.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain DBS via Smile Education.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to support learning and progress.
• Provide targeted support to pupils needing extra assistance.
• Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and pupil independence.
• Prepare classroom resources and assist with activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and other professionals.
• Provide pastoral and practical support where required.
• Assist pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and reaching potential.
• Contribute to the wider school community.
