Job summary

Leigh Academy Bearsted is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. The role involves assisting in a primary setting, supporting a pupil with physical and medical needs, and collaborating with another TA.

A focus on clear English and Maths communication and strong classroom practice is required. The position is permanent, offering £19,655 per annum for 32.5 hours per week during term time plus 1 week of inset.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or qualifications in working with primary-aged children
• High standards of spoken and written English and Mathematics
• Friendly and approachable manner
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults

Responsibilities

• Support a student with physical and medical needs
• Share duties with another Teaching Assistant
• Demonstrate effective behaviour management and positive classroom support
