Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves, London's leading Education Recruiters, are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1 in a Bromley primary school. You will work with a class teacher to reinforce key concepts, encourage learning and help create a positive classroom environment.

The role runs full-time from November, with opportunities to develop practical classroom skills and progress in primary education.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates genuine interest in working with primary-aged children.
• Patience, encouragement and consistency in supporting learning.
• Clear, proactive communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during whole-class teaching and independent activities.
• Help children develop early literacy and numeracy skills.
• Deliver small-group activities under the teacher's direction.
• Provide encouragement to pupils needing extra time with learning.
• Support positive behaviour and classroom routines.
• Assist with preparing learning resources and keeping the classroom organized.
