Job summary

Roundswell Community Primary Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed Early Years/Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join our school team. This permanent role is 31.25 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, Monday to Friday, with pro-rata salary reflecting hours and weeks worked.

You will support learning in classrooms and small groups, assisting with planning cycles, preparing resources, and promoting positive behaviour to help pupils thrive. DBS disclosure is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or caring for children of a relevant age.
• Knowledge of safeguarding practice and strategies to remove barriers to learning.
• Strong communication skills, including confidence and fluency in spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils’ welfare and personal care, including those with SEND.
• Implementing literacy and numeracy interventions.
• Assisting with planning cycles and preparing learning resources.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil independence.
• Supervise during breaks/lunchtimes and accompany pupils on trips when required.
