Job summary

Buckshaw Primary School in Astley Village, Chorley, is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support learning and pupil wellbeing in a friendly, one-form entry primary setting. You will work alongside teachers with individuals, small groups or the whole class to help children build confidence, independence and skills for the future.

The role is part-time, term-time only; salary is quoted as full-time equivalent and will be prorated accordingly.

Qualifications

• A level of knowledge, understanding and competence appropriate to the Teaching Assistant 2A role.
• A good standard of English and Maths evident through grades with the ability to support pupils learning in both areas.

Responsibilities

• Support learning and wellbeing of pupils in a primary classroom.
• Assist individuals, small groups or the whole class to build confidence, independence and skills.
• Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can flourish.
