Job summary

Provide Education is seeking a proactive and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Hebden Bridge, supporting pupils across KS1 or KS2. The role involves working closely with the class teacher to help pupils engage with learning and develop within an inclusive environment.

The position offers PAYE paid weekly, long-term stability, access to CPD opportunities, dedicated consultant support, and a £150 refer-a-friend scheme (T&Cs apply).

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
• Understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, proactive and supportive approach
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation
• Support behaviour management using positive strategies
