Randstad Education is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 & KS2 in West Sussex and Surrey. You will work alongside class teachers to guide small groups, provide 1:1 support, and help raise confidence and attainment with a flexible shift pattern and weekly pay.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience with primary-aged children, a solid understanding of KS1/KS2 curricula, and a patient, proactive communication style.

Requirements

Must-Haves (Essential)

• Proven experience supporting primary school-aged children in an educational, childcare, or youth setting.
• Good foundational understanding of the primary curriculum (KS1 & KS2).
• Patient, approachable, and proactive communication style.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young pupils and teaching teams.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one).

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent degree).
• Prior experience running early phonics, reading, or math interventions.
• Understanding of standard classroom behavior management strategies.
