Randstad Education in West Sussex/Surrey is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support class teachers, guide small groups, and provide 1:1 care across KS1 and KS2. The role offers flexible full-time/part-time working with weekly pay.

You will help pupils build confidence, adapt learning materials, and assist with classroom management in busy school settings. DBS required or willingness to obtain.

Requirements

Must-Haves (Essential)

• Proven experience supporting primary school-aged children in an educational, childcare, or youth setting.
• Good foundational understanding of the primary curriculum (KS1 & KS2).
• Patient, approachable, and proactive communication style.
• Ability to build positive relationships with young pupils and teaching teams.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one).

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent degree).
• Prior experience running early phonics, reading, or math interventions.
• Understanding of standard classroom behavior management strategies.
