Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to support schools across Scunthorpe and the wider area. The role involves supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, delivering small-group activities or providing 1:1 support to help children build confidence and reach their potential.

We offer competitive daily rates (£95 - £110) and opportunities for regular bookings, with a dedicated consultant guiding you through registration and placements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children in a school or educational setting.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Experience with SEND or 1:1 support is an advantage.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• A patient, positive and dependable approach.

Responsibilities

• Support across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 in classrooms.
• Deliver small-group activities to pupils.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils who need extra help.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, supporting classroom learning, delivering small-group activities or providing 1:1 support to pupils who need additional help.

We recruit for day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements, with opportunities for candidates seeking regular work. We'll discuss your experience, availability and preferred year groups to help identify suitable roles.

What we're looking for:
