Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in Scunthorpe and the surrounding area. Temporary, short-term and longer-term placements available, with flexible day-to-day supply and a dedicated consultant to support registration and placements.

Roles involve assisting classroom activities, working with small groups or providing 1:1 support to pupils who need extra help.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a school or educational setting.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confidence supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Work with small groups or provide 1:1 assistance to pupils who require additional support.
• Collaborate with School staff and Teaching Assistants to deliver learning activities.

We have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including flexible day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting classroom activities, working with small groups or providing 1:1 assistance to pupils who require additional support.

Our consultants will work with you to understand your experience, availability and preferred working arrangements, helping you find opportunities that suit your skills and circumstances.

We are looking for Primary Teaching Assistants who have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a school or relevant educational setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confidence supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting learning
