Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to work with a range of Primary Schools across Scunthorpe and the wider area. Flexible day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements are available.

You could be supporting classroom activities, working with small groups or providing 1:1 assistance to pupils who require additional support, with consultants aiding your placement process.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a school or educational setting.
• A Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confident supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom activities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Work with small groups or provide 1:1 assistance to pupils.
• Assist with behaviour management and maintain a positive learning environment.

Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is currently seeking dedicated and reliable Primary Teaching Assistants to work with a range of Primary Schools across Scunthorpe and the wider area.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge or someone with relevant experience supporting children who wants to develop your career in education, we would love to hear from you.

We have opportunities across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including flexible day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting classroom activities, working with small groups or providing 1:1 assistance to pupils who require additional support.

Our consultants will work with you to understand your experience, availability and preferred working arrangements, helping you find opportunities that suit your skills and circumstances.

We are looking for Primary Teaching Assistants who have:

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a school or relevant educational setting
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Confidence supporting children with a range of learning needs, including SEND
• Good behaviour management skills
• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach to supporting learning
