Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Leeds. The role involves supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 and working with class teachers to help learning, engagement and development within the classroom.

The successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day and long-term opportunities from September 2026, with CPD opportunities and market-leading pay. On PAYE, with a supportive onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not required
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and/or KS2
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant. The school provides a supportive learning environment for pupils across the primary age range, with the successful Primary Teaching Assistant becoming a valued part of the school team.

The school is looking for a Primary Teaching Assistant for both day to day and long-term opportunities from September 2026. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will support pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1 or Key Stage 2 / KS2, working alongside class teachers to support learning, engagement and development within the classroom.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not required
• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and/or KS2
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach
