Job summary

A primary education provider is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant in South Leeds to support the learning and development of pupils with additional needs. Primary Teaching Assistant, South Leeds

We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in South Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the learning and development of pupils with additional needs. This is a full time, long term role to start after Easter. The successful candidate must be comfortable proving both general classroom support and 1 to 1 support.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups to access the curriculum
  • Assisting teachers with differentiated learning activities and interventions
  • Helping create an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs as part of a structured SEN programme
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience supporting pupils in a school or educational setting
  • Level 2 or 3 TA qualification preferred, but not essential
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
