Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is supporting a welcoming mainstream primary school in Acocks Green to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant on a full-time, term-time basis. Start from October half term.

You will help children with SEMH/SEND needs, manage behaviours positively, and support routine, emotions, and learning throughout the day within a calm, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH/SEND or behavioural needs.
• Calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate emotions.
• Ability to respond to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner.
• Experience in mainstream primary settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support a child with their school routine and learning tasks.
• Assist with class activities and transitions throughout the day.
• Monitor behaviour and support emotional regulation and well-being.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive school environment.

Start Date: Start from October Half term

Full-Time | Term-Time Only - Monday - Friday - 8.30am -3.30pm

On the hunt for a new position from October half term, to support in a wonderful primary school?

We are supporting a welcoming mainstream primary school, that are looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis during term time to join them after the half term break.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is calm under pressure, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children who may require additional behavioural and emotional support throughout the school day. You will have the opportunity to support a child with their school routine, and become apart of a welcoming community of staff.

What We're Looking For:

• Confidence in managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner
• The ability to support children who may arrive at school upset, anxious, or dis regulated
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate their emotions
• The ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing situations throughout the school day
• Strong relationship-building skills to help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
• Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable
