Job summary

First For Education is seeking a proactive and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Halesowen, assisting pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 to engage with learning. This is a full-time, ongoing role, supporting the class teacher throughout the timetable.

Qualifications

Primary Teaching Assistant

First for Education is seeking a proactive and supportive Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Halesowen, supporting pupils across the classroom to help them engage with learning.

This is a full time, ongoing position, working closely with the class teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Primary Teaching Assistant role requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based desirable)
• Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting
• Understanding of the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, proactive and supportive approach
• Level 2 or Level Needed
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
