Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in Mansfield to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Primary Teaching Assistant with EYFS experience. You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the EYFS curriculum, helping with early development, phonics, numeracy and social skills while keeping students safe and engaged throughout the day.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Mansfield that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Primary Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children within EYFS.

The school provides a positive and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and love of learning. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting younger children through play-based and structured learning activities.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the EYFS curriculum. You will help children with their early development, communication, phonics, numeracy and social skills while ensuring they feel safe, supported and engaged throughout the school day.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Have previous experience working with children in EYFS
• Understand the EYFS framework and play-based learning
• Support children individually and in small groups
• Assist with phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy activities
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• Be patient, caring, reliable and enthusiastic
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification, although strong experience will also be considered
