Job summary

The Howard School seeks an exceptional and committed Primary Classroom Teacher to lead our literacy and numeracy catch-up provision for KS3 students entering secondary school below age-related expectations.

This full-time fixed-term role (STPC Main/Upper Pay Scale) until July 2027 involves designing personalised programmes, rigorous progress tracking and close collaboration with curriculum leaders, SEND staff and families to support vulnerable learners in achieving measurable progress.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS.
• Experience delivering literacy/numeracy catch-up interventions.
• Ability to design personalised programmes of support.

Responsibilities

• Lead literacy and numeracy catch-up provision for KS3 students entering secondary school.
• Track progress and adjust instruction based on data with curriculum leaders and SEND teams.
