Job summary

Connex Education is seeking Primary Teachers for supply and long-term opportunities in Sheffield. Roles include day-to-day supply and longer placements across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, with flexible arrangements and supportive local education team.

You will deliver engaging lessons, foster inclusive classrooms and support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, with guidance from a dedicated Connex Education consultant.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Recent experience as lead classroom teacher in a UK primary school.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Good understanding of the National Curriculum across the primary phase.
• Commitment to pupil achievement, inclusion and wellbeing.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Establish a stimulating, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and support attainment and development.
• Manage classroom behaviour consistently in line with school policies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and carers.
• Assist with planning, preparation and assessment for longer placements when required.
• Contribute to the wider school community and activities.
