Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting a Secondary Teacher to support Sheffield schools with both flexible supply and longer-term placements. Immediate and September starts are available, with roles across various secondary subjects and school settings.

You will deliver high-quality teaching, adapt to different environments, and support pupils to reach their potential, while meeting behaviour and safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• A recognised teaching qualification suitable for secondary education.
• Strong classroom management and adaptability to different school settings.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and supporting pupils’ individual needs.
• Fluent in English with clear communication and organisational skills.
• The Right to Work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide references.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across secondary subjects.
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and support academic achievement.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Build constructive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers.
• Complete planning, preparation and assessment duties for longer-term assignments.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community where required.
