Job summary

Reeson Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Primary Teacher for a thriving special school in Portsmouth. Initially contracted through Reeson Education on a timesheet basis during a probation period, with a view to a permanent contract on successful completion.

The role requires QTS and a genuine commitment to making a difference for children with severe learning difficulties, autism, and complex needs. Training and safeguarding are priorities.

Qualifications

• SEN experience with a proven track record.
• QTS and strong classroom practice in a special or mainstream setting.
• Experience with PECS, Makaton, TEACCH and Team Teach or willingness to train.

Responsibilities

• Teach primary SEN classes within a new department.
• Contribute to an expansion project with probation-to-permanent plan.
• Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards.
• Work in Portsmouth-based school.

SEN PRIMARY TEACHER

THE SCHOOL & SEN PRIMARY TEACHER JOB

I am looking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and engaging SEN Primary Teacher to join an outstanding special needs school in Portsmouth at a very exciting time in its evolution. This thriving special school is based in Portsmouth and caters to children and young people with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties and autism. You will be joining at a very exciting juncture in both the school's development.

As a result of this massive expansion project I am looking to appoint a number of teachers for primary class teaching roles within the new primary department. Initially you will be contracted through Reeson Education on a timesheet basis for the duration of a probation period at which point a permanent contract will be offered subject to satisfactory performance

• I would love to hear from SEN primary teachers with experience of special education with QTS and a proven track record.
• Newly qualified teachers and teachers looking to move over from mainstream are also encouraged to apply.
