Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join a welcoming school in High Wycombe. You will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, support diverse learners, and contribute to safeguarding and pupil development.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, a strong understanding of the National Curriculum, and excellent classroom management with DBS compliance. A full-time position starting October 2026 with a closing date of 5 October 2026.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons.
  • Commitment to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching and support pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress with constructive feedback.
  • Differentiate lessons to support pupils with SEND.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and attendance.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, school events, and enrichment activities.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development and safeguarding duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for further development.
  • Differentiate lessons effectively to ensure all pupils, including those with SEND, are supported and appropriately challenged.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, respect, and attendance within the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, school events, enrichment activities, and wider school initiatives where required.
  • Support pupils' personal, social, and emotional development, helping them to build confidence and positive relationships.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Requirements
