Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a committed Primary Teacher to lead a Year 5 class in Basford on a full-time, long-term basis. You will plan and deliver lessons, assess progress, and manage a Year 5 cohort to drive strong pupil outcomes.

The role runs ASAP until July 2027, with PAYE payroll, competitive daily rates (£170–£240), and on-site working at NG6. Experience in UK primary education is essential.

Qualifications

• QTS is required; applications from ECTs are welcome.
• Experience teaching in a UK primary school.
• Sound knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Strong planning, assessment and organisational skills.
• Positive and adaptable approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in the Basford area. The school is looking for a committed Primary Teacher who can create a positive learning environment and support pupils to make strong progress throughout Year 5.

The school is looking to take on a Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from ASAP until July 2027. The successful Primary Teacher will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, undertaking full teacher responsibilities including planning and delivering lessons, marking, assessment and monitoring pupil progress.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school
• Sound knowledge of the Key Stage 2 / KS2 curriculum
• Strong planning, assessment and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
