Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a mainstream Primary School in Eastwood, NG16, to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher for a full-time, long-term position in Year 5 from ASAP until July 2027. You will lead planning, delivery and assessment, while managing behaviours and upholding high teaching standards.

The ideal candidate holds QTS, KS2 experience (Year 5 preferred) and a confident, adaptable approach. PAYE payroll, with market-leading pay rates, is offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably Year 5.
• Proven ability to manage challenging behaviours in a mainstream classroom.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Primary National Curriculum.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain high teaching and behaviour standards in a Year 5 class.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School based in Eastwood, NG16, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher. The school is seeking a confident and adaptable individual who can establish clear expectations, build positive relationships with pupils and create a structured learning environment.

The school is looking to take on a Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from ASAP until July 2027, working within a Year 5 classroom. The successful Primary Teacher will take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing pupil progress, managing challenging behaviours and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2, ideally Year 5
• Experience managing challenging behaviours within a mainstream primary classroom
• Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management strategies
• A confident, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
