Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a qualified Primary Teacher for a part-time role in a Derby primary school. The post is three days per week, ASAP until May, to provide PPA cover across Upper Key Stage 2 and KS2, delivering planned lessons and maintaining consistent expectations across classes.

The successful candidate will have QTS (ECTs welcomed), UK primary experience, KS2 exposure, and strong classroom management, with an adaptable and confident approach to teaching.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school in Derby that is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Teacher to join their team. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where pupils are supported to develop their confidence and make progress.

The school is looking to take on a Primary Teacher on a part-time, short-term basis, working three days per week from ASAP until May. The successful Primary Teacher will provide PPA cover across Upper Key Stage 2 / KS2, delivering planned lessons, managing the classroom effectively and ensuring continuity of learning across the classes they support.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school
• Experience teaching across Upper Key Stage 2 / KS2
• Sound knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management
• An adaptable and confident approach to teaching
