Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Teaching Assistant in Leeds to support pupils with SEND and SEMH needs. The role involves providing 1:1 support as well as general classroom assistance within a mainstream primary school.

Opportunities are available on a supply basis, with both short-term and long-term placements. You will work across multiple Key Stages and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Confidence providing 1:1 and general classroom support.
• Ability to work across different Key Stages.
• Patient, positive and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Works across multiple Key Stages providing general classroom support.
• Provides 1:1 support for children with SEND/SEMH needs within the classroom.
• Collaborates with teaching staff to support pupil engagement and learning.
