Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated Primary Support Practitioner for a full-time role at a North Tyneside primary school, starting September 2026. The role focuses on practical and learning support across the school day to help pupils feel confident, included and ready to learn.

Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, supporting individuals and small groups, and reinforcing learning under the guidance of the class teacher.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational, childcare or support settings.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility and confidence across different age groups.
• Caring, patient and approachable personality.
• Genuine interest in children’s learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during classroom activities and independent work.
• Provide additional support to individuals and small groups.
• Reinforce learning delivered by the class teacher.
• Assist pupils who may require additional encouragement or guidance.
• Support classroom routines and positive behaviour.
• Help prepare resources and learning activities.
• Promote pupil independence and participation.
