Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Pupil Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in North Tyneside from September 2026. You will support pupils academically and pastorally, helping children feel confident and ready to learn throughout the day.

The role involves working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning, promoting positive attitudes towards school and supporting pupils who need extra help with confidence and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Calm, patient and encouraging personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different pupils and situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils across the primary age range.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce classroom learning.
• Encourage positive attitudes towards school and learning.
• Support pupils who may need additional help with confidence or engagement.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation.
