We work with numerous schools across Northamptonshire, including Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley, and surrounding areas. As a Teaching Assistant working through Hays, you'll have local work opportunities in your preferred areas, supporting schools of your choice.
Currently, we are recruiting for a Specialist Primary School in Northampton for children aged 4-11 with needs such as SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties, especially those who have struggled to settle into mainstream settings. The school emphasizes developing emotional regulation and readiness to learn, with facilities including outdoor play areas and staff-student group lunches.
Your new role
We are hiring a part-time 1-1 Teaching Assistant to start ASAP on a temporary to permanent basis. The role involves working with pupils with diverse needs, with working hours from 08:30 to 12:00, Monday to Friday.
We seek individuals who thrive in challenging yet rewarding environments, passionate about supporting social, life, and independence skills, and eager to make a positive impact. You will build trusting relationships with students, motivate them, and provide individual attention and reassurance as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience working with children or young people with SEMH or Autism Spectrum Conditions.
