About the role

Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Part time- Teaching Assistant to work in an SEN School in Cheltenham on a full-time basis.

The role

  • The school seeks a Part time- Teaching Assistant who will be enthusiastic, empathetic, patient and caring.
  • providing support and guidance to the students in their variety of learning needs and assistance with personal care / moving and handling with hoists.
  • Delivering support to children across KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
  • Building a trustworthy and lasting relationship with students, enabling them to reach their full potential whilst shining bright.

  • The school is a specialist provision for children with SEN. The school teaches children across KS1 and KS2 in small classes with an ambitious curriculum and increased opportunities for SEMH development opportunities.

To be considered for the role of Part time- Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Be flexible.
  • Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
  • Experience with both small group and 1:1 is beneficial
  • Friendly and nurturing qualities.
  • Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities – PMLD, MLD, ADHD, ADD, ASD, Global Delay, VI, HI, SEMH
  • Preferablymoving and handling training or have recent experience in this.
  • Have a patient and caring nature.
  • Have a desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Willing to complete CPD training.
