Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs?

Teaching Personnel Northampton are looking for an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join the workforce of a specialist school in Milton Keynes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to students with diverse needs (Autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges).
  • Support in fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with the staffing team within the school to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, young people, or adults with special educational needs.
  • Compassionate and patient character.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviours.
  • Driving licence is preferred but not required if you have adequate travel arrangements.

Additional Information:

  • £95+ per day - Dependent on experience and performance.
  • Permanent contracts available.
  • Full-time and part-time roles.
  • Psychology students and graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Support workers and care assistants are also encouraged to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
