Pye Green Academy is a large primary school located in Cannock, Staffordshire. We pride ourselves on having high expectations for all, a family of supportive staff and a strong inclusive community. We are looking for an outstanding teaching assistant to join our excellent team.

We have a vacancy for a 30 hour teaching assistant to join our team in September 20205. As part of Greenheart Learning Partnership, we can offer the support of a successful Multi-academy sponsor and the opportunity to benefit from the training and experiences offered across our learning partnership of 10 schools.

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Independent, flexible, adaptable and reflective in their practice
• Knowledgeable and have an understanding of a range of strategies that will ensure the progress of children with differing needs, including, but not limited to, autism, specific learning difficulties and trauma induced behaviours

• Able to liaise effectively with staff and contribute to assessment for learning
• Able and willing to work in a team and contribute to the wider life of the school in a caring, professional manner
• Able to lead, use their own initiative and provide short term cover, under the direction of the teacher
• Experience of the Read, Write, Inc. phonics programme
