Academics is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team in Gloucester. You will work closely with teachers to support a wide range of pupils in learning, development and wellbeing, helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child can achieve their best.

The role involves supporting teachers, providing one-to-one and small group support to SEN pupils, and helping with resources and activities

Primary School Teaching Assistant

Location: Gloucester

Salary: 90- 105

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support a wide range of pupils in their learning, development and wellbeing. You will help create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued and able to achieve their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teachers with classroom activities and day to day learning.
  • Provide one to one and small group support to SEN pupils.
  • Help children develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
  • Assist with preparing classroom resources and activities.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage a love of learning.
  • Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes and school activities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school.
About You

We are looking for someone who is:
