Job summary

Etchells Primary School in Heald Green, Cheshire, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant (SEND) to join our resource base supporting children with additional needs.

The role involves supporting pupils in lessons, assisting with medical and wellbeing needs, and working under the guidance of teachers, SENCo and external agencies to implement learning programmes.

We value committed, flexible staff and provide training where needed; appointment subject to DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting Special Educational Needs in the primary age range.
• Flexible, committed and can show initiative.
• Able to communicate effectively with teaching staff, the SLT and SEND team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children in lessons as well as with their medical needs and social and emotional well-being.
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and SEND Support Plans with their learning and development in both the classroom and Resource Base.
• Work under the guidance of teaching staff, SENCo, Headteacher and outside agencies to implement and evaluate agreed work programmes.
