Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is partnering with a vibrant mainstream primary school in Bristol to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. The role is full-time, fixed-term until 31 August 2026, 32.5 hours per week during term time, supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 or small-group basis.

You will assist with learning activities, behaviour strategies, resource preparation, monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCPs and SEND Support Plans.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications suitable for working within a primary school setting.
• Proven experience working with primary-aged children, ideally supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Reflective approach and commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Positive, resourceful and adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
