Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking Primary trained SEN Teachers for Ashford and surrounding areas in Kent. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons for pupils with diverse needs and collaborate with TAs, therapists, and staff to support learning plans.

Ideal applicants hold QTS and have experience in ASD, SEMH, and complex needs. DBS enhanced and right to work in the UK are required, with competitive pay scales and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • QTS is required.
  • Experience teaching children with SEN (ASD, SEMH, and complex needs).
  • Knowledge of strategies and interventions for primary pupils with SEN.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and classroom management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons for SEN pupils.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, nurturing classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and staff to support learning plans.
  • Regularly assess progress and adapt strategies to promote growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/carers and external professionals.
  • Uphold safeguarding and SEN policies at all times.

Our client SEN schools provide tailored education for pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges, and complex learning needs. The Role:

As an Primary trained SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, individualised lessons that meet the needs of pupils with diverse and complex learning profiles. You'll work as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team, fostering a safe and inclusive environment where children can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:
