Destination Education is seeking a Primary SEN Teacher for Newham, East London, to deliver engaging lessons across the Primary curriculum in specialist SEN settings. Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within SEN/SEND or with additional needs.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching for pupils with a range of abilities.
  • Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and ensuring every pupil reaches their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Primary curriculum.
  • Differentiating learning to meet a range of individual needs and abilities.
  • Creating a positive, nurturing and structured classroom environment.
  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social, emotional and communication development.
  • Implementing individual learning plans and working towards pupils' EHCP outcomes.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and other professionals.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues.
  • Supporting pupils to develop independence, confidence and life skills.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining high expectations for all pupils.
