Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Newham, East London. You will deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to pupils with additional needs within an inclusive learning environment.

The role requires QTS or an equivalent qualification, experience in SEN/SEND, and the ability to differentiate for varied abilities. You will collaborate with teaching assistants, families and other professionals to support EHCP outcomes and pupil development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within SEN/SEND or specialist settings, or significant experience with additional needs.
• Ability to differentiate teaching for learners with a range of abilities and needs.
• Patient, nurturing and resilient approach to support pupils.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Commitment to inclusive education and helping every pupil reach potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Primary curriculum.

• Support pupils' academic, social and communication development.
